A Warm Welcome to What's On 4 USA

We are very excited to introduce this successful collection of websites to the US.

There are three What's On 4 online guides helping over 1 million visitors a year. We pride ourselves on being your source for the most comprehensive local information on activities and classes alongside inspiring content.

These websites were created by families and are operated by families for your family.

The Story Begins

Sam Willoughby, a mom with a young baby in the UK, could not find a reliable source for information on quality activities for children.  Consequently in 2006, Sam launched www.whatson4littleones.com in the UK to address a personal need for an up to date and comprehensive directory of activities for children under the age of 5.

Within 18 months, What's On 4 Little Ones (WO4LO) became the most comprehensive national on-line directory for activities and classes for babies and young children in the UK.

In 2007 WO4LO won 2 awards, the Hantsweb Special Interest Website 2007 and Inspire07 E-business of the Year. And Sam was also named Practical Parenting magazine's Business Parent of the Year 2007.

In March 2008, www.whatson4schoolkids.com launched in the UK. WO4SK is the big sister to WO4LO providing an up to date and comprehensive directory of activities for children aged 5 to 12 years.  The kids use WO4SK as much as their parents and they have their own Kids Only page looked after by our Junior Editor!

In November 2008, www.whatson4kidsparties.com launched in the UK. WO4KP is a natural progression for us giving a single source of local and national entertainment, goods and services for children's parties, right from that all important 1st birthday up to teens. WO4KP has some extra special party information and ideas with our party planner - and much more.

The Story Grows

Sam quickly realized another benefit from launching the websites.  She could enjoy a rewarding career and have the flexibility to experience the many activities that the websites offered with her family.  

She decided to expand and offer the same advantages to other families she has enjoyed while developing What's On 4.  

In December 2010, she launched the children's websites in Australia under the management of Australian franchisee Elise Easdown. w

The growth of the children's websites continued in 2011 with the introduction to Ireland and the US - and with 5 more award wins.  Paul Hall is the franchisee for Ireland and Chris Jacobs is the master franchisee in the US. 

Over 1 million people visit our websites every year and there is a network of more than 40 parents across the world that now work flexibly as part of What's On 4 and this is set to reach over 100 by the end of 2012!
